I am from Russia, Siberia. Now residing in the United Kingdom.
I have been trading for 11 years now, first starting when I was in school, 14 years old, focusing only on US shares electronics (google, yahoo, ibm, etc). As I was underage, this done through a family broker. My job was to watch the charts and just give out orders whenever I got a free minute between school lessons. This process turned out to be very profitable and as a result I developed up an image of myself as a 'successful trader'.
In 2002 the Universe kindly 'corrected' this image for me by making me return all my profits back to the stock market where they belonged. I helped the Universe in this endeavour by over exposing my trading account, following no money management processes, having no trading model, no testing, no statistics, and to make sure I had no chance of climbing out of the hole I was digging - by focusing on exclusively on penny shares! I succeeded in this perfectly and turned a fat bank account into an empty one in a matter of months.
By starting with a zero bank account, a completely confused mind, and an insulted ego, I realised there is more to trading than I thought.
Since then I spent all my time studying fundamental analysis, technical analysis and rational analysis. I spent days and nights reading books on these topics. I even went as far as study them before going to work in the morning, during lunch hours, and after work until late morning hours. I did this for years, and only recently stopped.
The most valuable of all approahes was not any specific approach but the study of the mind, and specifically how our personal Beliefs are structured. As it is the Beliefs we hold that then influence everything that follows, the approach we pick, how we use it, and how we abuse it, whether we spend a year on it and that leads to nothing, or if we spend a week on it and that creates profits. Everything is a result of what we Believe in, and we can re-structure our Beliefs with great ease if we know how.
Now my main focus and passion lies with trading forex, as I believe it offers certain elements that share market does not which help to reduce risk and increase consistency. My current approahes tend to arise from within me. I typically would spend quite a bit of time gathering statistics on a method or a pair I'm trading, and then apply my own set of rules to it.
I have 2 scientific degrees in psychology, specialising in personality assessment and growth, but I have 3 life long passions: Psychology, Trading and Business. In my experience Trading is like no other journey to self-realisation and self-development.
My dream? My dream is to have a University of Healthy & Wealthy Mind. A University where the philosophy and psychology of Napoleon Hill, Seth, Jane Roberts, Neville and many other New Thought speakers is taught and applied for the better development of business, people, and improvement of the planet we live on.
What do I need? I need people to help me with my plans, with their advice, experience, knowledge and general support. People to say hi and keep in touch, for sooner or later, great things can be created if we all cooperate and help each other.
My favourite quote? Many, but the 2 I repeat everyday in my mind and feel their effects are:
1. "My entire environment is created by me"
2. "My entire environment is helping me create my dreams"
Daily repetition of these 2 quotes I found to be incredibly powerful in restructuring a personality towards a powerful creative one, overcoming fears and rebuilding a belief system towards that with which you start to create and forsee probabilities in your life. I believe we design our lives and what happens to us based on what we believe in. I believe we can design the future as we want it to happen, if we simply start to Believe it is possible.
