Now when that is said, the thing I'm trying to figure out here is how I could set an alert to play inside the ZigZag indicator. The alert should play when a new ZigZag line has just been created.

The thing is that I don't understand when to set the "PlaySound("alert. wav");".

I recently downlaoded the Fractal ZigZag EA and wanted to see why it is doing so well. After playing around with it and at the end removing everything in the EA expect the buy command it made that amount of money.

I will answer this question only partially for a number of reasons. Pesavento Patterns are almost the same thing as Fibo levels. They allow us to see the value of correction between different extremums at the same time. I first got myself familiar with Pesavento Patterns in Ensign trading terminal. There is plenty of trading strategies developed for this trading platform. In the most of those strategies, Pesavento Patterns are used. It means that this analytical tool bears a great potential. In Ensign, Pesavento Patterns are not built on indicator ZigZag, but on a trend indicator that resembles ZigZag. In ZUP, this trend indicator is realized in two modes. What is important, Pesavento Patterns are built on all ZigZags in the ZUP.

Can we use zigzag to RSI indicator to identify the peak and trough?

I really need some help on this.

trying to understand how the standard ZigZag code works. Can anybody provide a commented version?

What I particularly don't understand is the following:

I have sometimes a problem with the High_Low ZigZag Indicator which I use.

The problem is show on the pictures wich I attached here, sometimes when I shut down my terminal and restart it then the indicator draws not correct lines first when I restart the indicator it draws again correct.

You realized the current values of ZigZag changes all the time as the indicator redraws?

Yes I realise that it changes as it goes. But this is not that. The code in my EA saves the value of CurrentZig in the variable LastZig then waits for a new trend line to be drawn in the opposite direction.

I would like to use the values of ZigZag - the one embedded into the default MT4 installation - indicator in my EA code.

Can anyone suggest how to do?
