By learning how to retrieve trend line values dynamically and compare them with price action, readers will be able to develop EAs capable of identifying and trading chart patterns such as ascending and descending trend lines, channels, wedges, triangles, and more.

I’ve been building algorithmic trading strategies using MQL5 for a while now — it’s been an incredible journey turning trading ideas into fully automated systems.

But lately, I’ve felt the strong need to advance my knowledge and skill set beyond what I currently do. Algo trading is evolving fast, and I believe it’s time for me to evolve with it.

I’m now actively working on:
• Learning Python for data analysis and strategy backtesting
• Studying quantitative trading strategies (momentum, mean reversion, stat arb, etc.)
• Improving my understanding of statistics, probability, and financial modeling
• Rebuilding some of my MQL5 strategies in Python and open-sourcing them
• Exploring how machine learning can be applied to trading models

This journey is both challenging and exciting — and I’m documenting it through code, reading, and real-world experimentation.

If you’re into quant trading, algorithmic strategies, or just want to connect and chat about the field, I’d love to connect!
